![]() The original property at Golden Oaks Golf Club consisted of 132 acres and was a farm formed by the Hill family circa 1732. The farm was purchased by William Marr in 1940. The Marr family occupied the home until 1985 when Mr. Bean, one of the founders of Golden Oaks, Inc., purchased it. The property was converted to the golf course and the clubhouse was built, but the home these families lived in still stands. This former home is now referred to as "The Farmhouse" by Golden Oaks Golf Club. The cozy atmosphere provided by The Farmhouse makes it perfect for small banquets and receptions.
